An ode to
#800517
By Mark 9th grade

#800517 slides down like smooth port,
And oh doth it taste with the same wonder.
#800517 brings forth memories of the cider mill,
With both the spice and cherry-wood's grain.
Autumn is naught without #800517,
For it brings color to the trees.
#800517 tumbles past like the burning bush,
Whispering across the ground.
#800517 has the essence of velvet,
with the strength of it's very name – firebrick.

White
by Gideon 5th grade

White smells like a white lilac on a spring day.

White tastes like freshly baked cheesecake.

White is the howling of the wind.

White is the inside of a snow fort.

White feels like a fluffy bunny.

White is freshly fallen snow.

White makes me feel happy.

White sounds peaceful.

GREY
by Hailey 6th grade

Grey is an elephant's wrinkly butt.
Grey smells like decomposing innards.
Grey is being trapped in my great aunt's house watching soap opera's all day long.
Grey feels pruney.
Grey is an old man's starched boxers.
